I have bought very nearly every guitar instructional series on the market this is the best there is. Bill Edwards has developed the most most likely, and comprhensive method for culture guitar that there is. It starts with simple framework and then it builds. Everything is linked together so that the student learns quickly. He also puts the student first. Once you start culture from him you can tell that he has thought of whats best for the student. No excess stout. Of course I got this new dvd too. It may say begginer, but its so much more. Incredible piece of material…enough said.

You can find other reviews about the content elsewhere. I would tend to agree with all of them. The whole Fretboard Logic and explanation using CAGED is really opening doors for me. I’m self-taught so it is helpful to get a better understanding of the ‘why’ since I find a lot of ‘how’ out there.

I would have rated this video 5 stars if the menus worked better. This is sweet much homebrew video production – no frills. And, I have problems with the menus playing back on my PS3. Maybe it is my contrivance but the menus seem a small erratic and I have to do extra effort to navigate to the areas I want to be at. Force work better on a computer – don’t know yet, but I prefer to watch DVDs on my television.

Certainly get the companion books. The on-cover tabs are helpful, but this is a supplement to the books. The video will stand on its own but you force be frustrated at times. Conversely – there are elements that are only in the videos and not in the books…like the notch/tab for the blues section.
