Riff #4: La Bamba – Ritchie Valens (Songs Guitar Lesson RF-004) How to play

You know you want to!! Even if it’s a bit cheesy, it’s a classic guitar riff and I reckon everyone should be able to play it, so in the video I show you how. It’s fantastic at parties too! Taught by Justin Sandercoe. Full support at the justinguitar web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a fantastic forum too to get help, no matter what the problem. And it is all really free, no bull. No try out lessons, no memberships, no free ebook. Just tons of fantastic lessons :) To get help with this lesson (and for further info and tabs), find the Lesson ID in the video title (like ST-667 or whatever) and then look it up on the Lesson Index page of justinguitar.com www.justinguitar.com Have fun .

@miyavizim Maybe it’s because I’ve grown up with playing guitar but I found it this quite simple to pick up. Even if you just play it sloppily, it’s just: The run, C chord, play C again but lift top two fingers, F chord, play F without index fiddle with, then play without any fingers. Then second run and repeat. Simple :P

I like this song! The guitar was played by Carol Kaye. She should be a lot better known than she is. She gave us so much.

  24. Lutherro says:

“C’mon and shake it now baby now shaake it now babe, Twist and shooutt, twist and shout….’ Thats the same progression and the rhythm as well :D
