Fantastic lesson Justin, but I haven’t found for model minor chord-triads here… Or 7th chord triads… Can any person post me a excellent link on these kinds of triads?

  2. Dreamdancer11 says:

Take note to the man people. If you really wanna learn your fretboard surrounded by out learn the major triads and their inversions all over the neck and then do the same with minor, augmented and diminished. After that play chord scales all over the neck. Its less work than it sounds and by the time you end you ll be able to construct virtually any chord and arpegio on the glide.Of course if you just wanna play a song or two for your girlfriend you dont need that…lol.

  3. ZeppelinFloydRoses says:

Don’t cha despise when you have to use speakers and not an amp!

  4. BBCunt says:

Sounded more like samba than reggae.. just saying.

lol@ “For those of you who haven’t done your music scheme homework”

I am doing my music scheme homework right now, I came here so I could really hear a triad.

  14. voicesinmehead says:

sorry for the third comment in a row…so basically if i learn the shapes you teach us, and learn which 3 clarification make up all of the chords of like, a b c d e f g, then i know triads? i reckon i get it

  15. voicesinmehead says:

or would it not be because the only clarification being used in a g power chord for model are g and d, when it has to be g d and b to define it as a g triad

  16. voicesinmehead says:

if they are chords using three strings, using a root note to determine what triad chord it is, doesnt that mean a power chord is a triad? sorry if that’s really retarded but i’m tiresome to know this

  17. gunsnrosescovers says:

    Fantastic

  18. kingxskippy says:

  23. atidwel8 says:

If you’re excellent at what you do by no means do it for free. On the other hand if you give your knowledge or skills away it will attract more business to you based on the fact that no body will be as excellent as you just because you taught them. My point is clearly he place himself on the web knowing people will watch for free. Don’t try to be so noble as to assume we should all pay him for doing it. Or get off your soap box and just lead by model.

  25. imjohnandyouare says:

for the last triad shape at the 12th fret I like to use my middle fiddle with on the G string, ring fiddle with on the B string, and index on the e string

  26. Forthepaycheck88 says:

i feel like a monkey on a typewriter. I know zero about guitar, and while I can mimic where his fingers are going by counting frets and strings, and can make the same sounds, i have no clue what note im playing, what scale its in, what its vibration frequency is, or sweet much 95% of what hes saying. Clearly Marty, you are the Jeet Kune Do of guitars… better to know, and add on than to try and learn from scratch :/. No fault, just feelin kinda defeated.

  27. Forthepaycheck88 says:

Those were taught in elementary school… i realize it was so long ago, but the trick was to use words regularly until it becomes a motor response. I despise ppl that cant spell, too. Oh, or “There” “Their” and “They’re”… especially when they know they dont know which to use, and they switch linking the three in the same paragraph, and miss three times in a row XD.

  28. ThecoolMaxEverest says:
